It was indeed a frantic scene at The Gardens last Thursday as hundreds of fans gathered at the Coach store to catch a glimpse of Wang Leehom, the newest ambassador for Coach.

“I grew up in New York and everyone knew the name Coach,” says Wang Leehom. “I never expected that one day I would represent the brand, so it’s such an honor. Coach is modern, but respectful of heritage and craftsmanship, which are values I share. I look forward to seeing what we do together.”

Designed by the Coach Architecture Group, the 2,411 square foot dual gender retail space will reflect the brand’s distinctive design concept. The façade will feature Coach’s signature C pattern panels encased in glass and the décor will combine high-gloss white lacquer fixtures and polished stainless steel accents.

The dedicated men’s section will incorporate the aesthetic of the men’s space, which will carry a full product assortment of bags, small leather goods, footwear and outerwear, at the Omotesando flagship store in Tokyo, with white marble flooring and black marble edging.

The women’s product assortment will feature handbags, small leather goods, outerwear, footwear, jewelry, watches, and sunwear. In conjunction with the opening of the new concept store, Coach will launch the Coach + Billy Reid collection and the chic Harper Triple Zip Satchel exclusively at The Gardens Mall.

“We are thrilled to open our concept store in The Gardens Mall, one of the most fashionable and commercially important shopping malls in Malaysia,” said Andrew Stanleick, Vice President & General Manager, Coach South East Asia. “Our brand proposition — aspirational, fashionable, high-quality product— continues to resonate well with Malaysian consumers, and we are excited to bring our most elevated, modern retail concept to Malaysia.”
