Sarah-Jane Froom, or more popularly known as SJ is an international make-up artist of bareMinerals. Throughout her career, SJ has worked with celebrities such as Naomi Campbell, Sadie Frost, Sophie Anderton, Jemma Kidd and Jodie Kidd and most recently did the makeup for Alexa Chung and Tali Lennox at the Scottish Fashion Awards.

Most people were familiar with bareMineral's bestseller - the original SPF 15 foundation and being the leader in mineral make-up, our expectation was high on the introduction of their READY collection. We decided to put READY on a 12-hour stress test to see if it stuck true to what it claimed. Read on to find out more on what we love and things you should know about the foundation before setting out to get your hands on one.

Another bareMinerals bestseller, the Prime Time Foundation Primer

For medium to full-coverage, the angled-precision brush does a great job in providing an even matte finish

The tapered brush is suited for light to medium coverage, also functions as a blush brush

Shown here is the angled-precision brush. Tap it onto the compact foundation bed lightly.

This is how much product your brush should pick up depending on how hard you press down on your compact powder. Buff gently with long even strokes.

What we like about it:
- It offers medium coverage for daily wear and the ability/flexibility to build up to a full coverage
- It feels like next-to-nothing on your skin
- Being in a compact form also meant zero-spillage and mess from the loose powder counterpart
- At the end of the 12-hour wear, amidst being indoors (air-conditioned) and outdoors, the make-up did not 'bleed' but looked pretty set. My liquid foundation routine usually leaves my face looking tacky towards lunch and a facial blotter was a rule rather than an exception
- Skin still feels pretty hydrated at the end of the wear
- Ugly demarcation lines; zilch

What we think you should know about:
Some people who are already on bareMinerals find the need to get a shade or a few shades darker on the READY than what they are already using on the ORIGINAL. Leslie Blodgett, the creator of bareMinerals espouses all READY users to get themselves shade-matched at any counters before their first purchase. Also, there is a special application technique where you tap and buff in long and gentle strokes instead of in circular motions while using this product. To get an even finish, continue buffing your face with the brush until it looks homogeneous and set.
