Chow Hon Lam is a Malaysian t-shirt designer, and the amount of detail in his designs are just stunning.
Who would have thought that just observing them would be so enjoyable?
All we have to say about his designs is that to expect the unexpected!

Read on for our interview with him!

Hi Hon Lam, please start by introducing yourself!
Hi, I'm a t-shirt designer from Malaysia. People usually call me Flying Mouse. I see tees as a medium through which stories are told.
I just completed my personal project called Flying Mouse 365, where I create one design a day, 365 designs a year.
I am currently working on designs and collaborations with clients like AirAsia, Nike, Lotus F1, MARTELL VSOP, KLUE, Arty Walrus and Dave Matthews Band.

Where do you get your inspirations and ideas from?
Everything around me can inspire me: a cup of tea, a watermelon, a pussycat or even the weather. I believe that everything have a story to tell; they may have something to say, but just can't speak. I try to speak for them.

What do you have to tell from your designs?
A smile. I hope my designs can bring some smiles to the world.

How long have you been designing?
About 4 years in t-shirt design.

Any upcoming projects or work we should look forward to?
Flying Mouse 365's book and prints. Also a collaboration with Freeform for a project called I_KL.

If you could only design with only one colour, which one will it be?
The basic color: black.

Who do you dream of collaborating with?
Tatsuyuki Tanaka.

What would you do if you win a million dollars?
If I win a million dollars, I will do an exhibition around the world. Let me win please :)
