Yes, the annual Malaysia International Shoe Festival is back for the second time!
Held at the Putra World Trade Centre, throngs of shoe lovers filled up the hall.

The mere presence of Jimmy Choo (scheduled for only 20 minutes today) and the showcase of a few of his haute couture shoes, which were flown in from London, lured shoe-lovers and fashionistas like bees to honey.

Wait, there are more shoes!
Besides shoes on sale (really, who wouldn't LOVE that?), the winners and participants of the Malaysia Footwear Design Competition 2011 was also exhibited. Believe me, I was very impressed by some of the designs!

WARNING: LOTS OF PICTURES!

Miniature shoes were also adorably displayed, and they are all designed by local college and university students.

The number of people just waiting to take advantage of the shoe sale was rather overwhelming. One of the "hottest" sale today was local designer's label, Bill Keith, whose shoes which are 70% off also came with a 'buy 2 free 1' promotion.
Here are some of what other labels had to offer.

And there was a huge shoe made out of chocolate, too!

Another highlight was the shoes from Malaysian-born, New York-based designer, Zang Toi, who also had the chic-est booth at the festival.

Shoes from other Asian countries were also on display!

Indonesia

China

And, of course, the one we all have been waiting for: Jimmy Choo's haute couture shoes.
