93 Michelin-star chef Gordon Ramsay will be in town for Wesak Day.

Wesak Day is an annual Buddhist celebration where devotees marks three momentous events in Buddha's life - his birthday, enlightenment, and achievement of Nirvana.

Donations, giving food to the needy, offerings of incense, joss sticks and prayers are carried out on Wesak Day.

And why is he coming?

He will be preparing a vegetarian meal for Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor at the Buddhist Maha Vihara Temple in Brickfields on May 28.

Chief High Priest of Malaysia K. Sri Dhammaratana Nayaka Maha Thera said Najib would be the third Prime Minister to visit the temple after Tunku Abdul Rahman and Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi.

“It is an exciting moment to have the Prime Minister celebrate Buddhists' biggest annual celebration,” he said, adding that the temple received several hundred thousand devotees and visitors every year (that's true).

Too bad my family and I only go to the temple on Wesak Eve.
No Ramsay stalking scouting for me!
