Wendy MacNaughton is a designer and humanitarian with the heart of gold. Hailing from San Francisco, she dedicates her time to help nonprofit organization.

Due to her involvement in humanitarian affairs, we feel she deserves to be in
ourlist of Designer Spotlight for Elements.

MacNaughton studied fine art in 1996 and took advertising courses before landing a job at Goodby, Silverstein and Partners, an advertising agency. From there, she was offered an honourable opportunity to create a national education campaign for Rwanda's first democratic elections.

"My experience helped me realize how necessary it was to complement the foundation in critical thinking and design I learned at Art Center with a more user-centered approach. I wanted to learn how to work with people, instead of for or on them."

Most of her paintings are based on experience on public transit. Equipped with ink and watercolour, the artwork reflects Wendy's environment and surroundings.

She can regularly be seen on the #10 train route.

Her other works: Humanitarian campaign in Kenya, and Rwanda
